Troy BernsNational Business Development Director

    Troy has more than 18 years of experience as a sales and business development professional helping companies of all sizes grow strategically in the business-to-business and healthcare service sector. His experience stems from a strong work ethic developed while working his way through college selling educational books, serving as a medical device sales representative working with physicians in the operating room, and now, managing growth and business development within the restoration services industry.

    As the National Director of Business Development, Troy is largely involved with managing and developing BluSky’s business development team across all offices. Troy’s areas of expertise include strategic business growth and development, sales and marketing, sales training and development, customer service and recruiting. Troy is also part of BluSky’s Senior Leadership Team.

    Prior to working at BluSky, Troy worked at C.R. Bard, Inc., a multinational developer, manufacturer and marketer of medical technologies. As a Territory Manager, Troy was responsible for the sale and training of medical devices to hospitals and physicians. He managed a two-million-dollar territory and worked with numerous hospitals and physician groups throughout the Rocky Mountain and Midwest Regions.

    He also spent seven years at All Copy Products, a privately held office equipment dealer for Canon, Sharp and Konica Minolta. As a Major Account Manager, Troy was responsible for generating new business from strategic accounts while managing some of the company’s largest clients. During his time with All Copy, he was a top contributor in growing the company from $1.2M to $20M in annual sales.

    Troy graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Marketing at the University of Northern Iowa in 1998. During his summer months at college, he worked with the Southwestern Company selling educational books door to door to help finance his education.
